Let’s talk about one of my favorite topics - HYDRATION!

Did you know a healthy amount of water to drink daily is half of your body weight in ounces. So someone who weighs 120lbs should drink 60oz of water per day. That is equal to roughly 1.8 liters. Let’s round up to 2 liters per day! Are you getting enough water daily?

For optimal hydration, squeeze a lemon and add a pinch of in your water to help with absorption. Water without particles from food is hard for the body to absorb and will pass right through the system. Have you ever experienced still feeling dehydrated after drinking tons of water. I HAVE! Once I learned about adding lemon and salt (or strawberries, raspberries) I truly feel satiated. Also, drinking this water makes me feel like I’m at a spa which is an added bonus! Such a treat!

Filtration System

When possible we want to make sure we are drinking filter water to optimize our health to eliminate toxins. Lots of chemicals make their way into our water system and we want to flush those out before consuming the water. Water is essential to our overall health.

Shower

There are A LOT of options out there when it comes to selecting a filtration system.

For the shower, I really like this shower head which is affordable and makes a noticeable difference in our water quality.

Shower Filter (on sale right now for $64.99!)

Drinking Water

Similar to shower filtration systems, there are several options for your drinking water solutions. I have found much success with the AquaTru Filtration System. Reverse osmosis is the safest way to remove contaminants from the water. Erin Brockovich loves AquaTru for this very reason!

Water Bottles

Let’s talk about plastic water bottles. Plastic contains harmful chemicals that leak into foods and water that cause serious health issues. If you haven’t already switched exclusively to glass water bottles, now is the time.

There are many great options out there when deciding what bottle to go with. I absolutely LOVE this glass water bottle for a couple of reasons.

1. The size. It is extremely portable and fits in most car cup holders.

2. The durability. I’ve dropped this bottle on many occasions but the sleeve keeps the glass safe.

3. Water just tastes better from glass. IMO!
